The First Lady of Aviation

Ms. Betty Holmes was elected the First Lady of Aviation in Augusta, GA, in 1993. However, it is common knowledge that she is not only the First Lady of Aviation in Augusta, but in just about any aviation circle for hundreds of miles around. She held more aviation history in her head then could be found in many a book on the subject. She could hold a person  attention for hours with her wonderful aviation stories.  Ms. Betty lost her courageous fight with cancer in 2004 and she has gone on to fly in bluer skies.
